Hey, CK Blog Readers! I’m Jodi Sanford, owner and founder of Fancy Pants Designs, and today’s guest blogger! I love scrapbooking and papercrafting! Since our company’s first release in 2005, we’ve seen and designed some really exciting innovations in the industry that have given crafters the chance to really expand their creativity and personal expression in scrapbooking and design!
Here at Fancy Pants, we like to think we are crafty, so at every release we try to create products that will be used for scrapbookers and crafters alike! We’ve released some really fun things over the years and some super-sized stamps happen to be one of them! So, my technique today is on stamping and a peek at just a couple of the endless options that stamps offer.
In my first project, I’ve used one of our new ‘embellishable’ frames to create a framed scrapbook for my daughter’s wall. Using Staz-on ink, we stamped the big corner stamp from our Bella Brush 12×12 set (below) right on the frame and scrapbooked the rest of the design.
Unlike glass frames, you can stamp, scrapbook and even stitch directly on the center of this frame!
Next, I want to share a stamped layout. This page is one of my favorites! I love the crafty side of it with the stitching and ribbon, but most of all, I love that I could make so many unique accents with the stamps….and color them to match my page.
This stamp set, On A Whimsy (below), is great for adding your own color accents.
I just used a set of colored pencils to accent the stamps and added the borders around my photos to add some color pop! I loved how this page turned out with a touch of whimsy, but a nice crafty look, too!

I love making home decor! And I love the examples here
My favorite is finding an expensive decor item (in a store, catalog, etc) and making it myself for far less than than the original item! Often it’s the design or sentiment on the item that I enjoy, so it’s a lot of fun taking that inspiration and making it my own!

Well, I have made lots of layouts for the walls (like the age layouts of the twins for the stairs – more fun than just a typical school photo in a frame!) and now I am going to try out altering paper mache letters. I have a huge M for our living room that I am going to alter with lt blue tissue paper & an old sewing pattern and lots of other blue scrapbook stuff and found items. I just have to get over that whole ‘first step’ commitment issue.

I like to make pics, essentially LOs, and put them in frames. I use pp and cardstock to make the mat and embellies to dress it up! So much fun. Thanks for the giveaway!

So far, my decorative efforts have been a set of four small frames with scrapbook pages of my kitties, and a wall calendar that I can change out the months on. These frames look fantastic!! I would love to give these a shot.
