Kim JacksonAutumn is a great time to start new projects. There’s just something about the kids going back to school that makes me ready to try something new or begin a project I’ve been procrastinating. How about you? Does back-to-school time make you nostalgic for the days of book reports and art projects?

Now that we’re all grown up, we have our own little ways to get that back-to-school mojo going. I’m talking about getting our hands on some fab new scrapbook goodies and learning creative techniques!     Fall is so much fun! Our family enjoys a lot of activities during this time of the year. One of our favorites is going to Apple Hill to pick a couple of bushels of apples and bringing them home to make apple pie and carmel apples. That is our family tradition.

    Decorating for Halloween is always my favorite. My son and I usually make some new decor. My husband and son love discussing the costumes and picking out just the right one. With stuff like this and evening walks in the cooler breezes, who wouldn’t love fall!?!?

    When the nights are getting cooler my thought turn to baking. My favorite activity is baking anything with pumpkin in it. Pies, cookies, breads and pancakes!

    Autumn is just about here, I can’t believe the yr is almost over. My fav autumn activty is finding my daughter a costume for Halloween. Her daycare always has a Halloween party and its soo cute to walk in and see all the little kids in their costumes on that day……I wonder what she’ll be this yr (she’s 2yrs old)????? any ideas??

    As funny as it seems, raking the fall leaves is my favorite autumn activity. It brings back sweet memories of playing with my son in the leaves when he was little. And we usually spend the day outdoors as a family, cleaning up the yard, getting ready for the cold weather … and playing around a bit. The day is always ended with a fire pit!!

    I love decorating for fall. We also host a an annual bonfire/weenie roast. I love mother nature’s color palette too!
