Here are some behind-the-scenes tidbits about this issue:

* We had asked Celeste Rockwood-Jones and her cute sister Monica Rockwood to illustrate and design the holiday photo prep article. We were thrilled by the amazing show of talent they produced. Together they rocked it!

* Oddly, no Christmas songs were sung during the making of this magazine. Though it did snow when we were brainstorming ideas for the issue—in May!

* Kim Jackson and Lori Fairbanks went on the Hot Spot shopping trip together for this issue, and they found the license plate map of the US. It’s so playful and cool, and we love that it incorporates numbers into the design. Numbers as accents/design elements was the Hot Spot trend for the October issue. It’s so exciting to see two trends used together.

* After we took the team photo on page 4, we had photos taken for our new headshots that you’ll be seeing in the magazine starting with the January 2011 issue.

*Trim isn’t just for trees anymore. Two lucky Creating Keepsakes readers will receive this beautiful assortment of holiday trim designed especially for decorating scrapbook pages. Use it on your holiday and other layouts for a lovely accent that you can display the whole year through. Read the official rules and enter to win. Contest ends December 31, 2010.
