Hey, hey! Ready for a little CK & Me excitement? We certainly are, and we have some M-A-Zing layouts to share with you this month. Three scrapbookers have submitted pages they’ve created that have been inspired by layouts in past issues of Creating Keepsakes magazine. Our first page was inspired by this beautiful page Lisa Truesdell created for our January 2011 issue.
Jenny Rickard loved how the spray ink tied the various patterns together in a cohesive way and knew she had to try this idea out for herself. Take a look at what she’s done. Stunning work, Jenny!
Our next scrapbooker is the first CK & Me designer to take inspiration from two different layouts and create one beautiful page. Both Lisa’s layout above and this page by Gretchen McElveen were the sources of inspiration for Carrie Butterwick.
Check out how Carrie combined the two ideas to create this festive design. Very cool, Carrie! Thanks for showing us a new approach to CK & Me.
Amanda Sherman was instantly drawn to Kelly’s page and decided to make her own stylish version. Well done, Amanda! (Amanda also happens to be the spotlighted member on our community site for scrapbookers this month. Learn more about her here.)
How would you like your work to be highlighted as part of a future CK & Me post? Besides being featured on our blog, we’ll also send you a free special issue—win, win! To be considered, please send an image of your layout to firstname.lastname@example.org, including the page that inspired you, the issue and page number where that layout can be found, and a short note about what inspired you to create.
In closing, I hope you’ll join us in congratulating this month’s talented scrapbookers on a CK & Me job well done. Thanks!
