This month, you might be inclined to say CK & Me has gone to the dogs…and the cats, because two of our three amazing featured pages happen to be about those fine furry friends. Pretty appropriate for spring, wouldn’t ya say? Let’s take a look at how you, our readers, were inspired by the bright ideas found in both the March/April 2011 issue of Creating Keepsakes magazine and the Scrapbooking Tips & Tricks: Texture special issue.
We’ll begin with this month’s only non-pet page, which was inspired by this eye-catching layout Lisa Vanderveen created for our March/April 2011 issue.
Andrea Davis immediately fell in love with Lisa’s design and knew this was the answer to how she was going to scrap the assorted photos she had collected of her husband’s six month deployment. Great way to make the most of this photo-centric design, Andrea!
Janice Stackfleth created this adorable puppy page in just 45 short minutes! She appreciated how Suzy’s original design offered her an opportunity to get lots of cute puppy pics on a single two-page spread. We’re glad you were inspired to create, too, Janice. Those puppy pictures are just too cute!
Kim’s page caught Steffanie Seiler’s eye. She liked how Kim didn’t fill each space on the grid with patterned paper, but instead reserved some of the space for a fun accent. Great job taking Kim’s super-cool lead, Steffanie!
As with each featured CK & Me scrapper on our blog, these talented ladies will each receive a free Creating Keepsakes special issue. Congrats, gals!
If you’d like to see your work featured on the blog and win a new special issue of your own, submit your layouts to email@example.com with “CK & Me” in the subject line. Please list the layout that inspired you to create, the issue it can be found in, what about that page inspired, and attach an image of your finished design. We’d love to review your idea for possible mention in a future post.
Now, please join me in giving these creative chicas a hip-hip-hooray for scrapbooking job well done!
