Create Sparkly Flowers Inspired By New Collection From Teresa Collins

Teresa Collins1 Create Sparkly Flowers Inspired By New Collection From Teresa Collins I am very excited to be CK‘s guest blogger today. I am passionate about creating and want to share with you some of my favorite new things to create.

My newest collections are some of my all time favorite. I recently came out with FIVE new collections: POSH, NOTATIONS, ON THE EDGE, SPORTS EDITION II, and TIMELESS.

Today I am going to share with you how I create and add sparkle to my flowers.

This is my new On the Edge (my boy collection) REFLECTIVE paper. It is hard for photos to do the 12×12 metallic silver justice. I called it reflective since you can actually see yourself in the paper. So cool!

Here is how you create the flowers:

Step 1:

You will need one sheet of Teresa Collins 12×12 Reflective (On the Edge) Paper.  I used the Mother’s Day Bouquet cartridge from Provo Craft. I am in LOVE with this flower cartridge and you can create the flowers in ANY size and shape that you desire. For my flowers, I wanted LARGE flowers so I set my setting on 4” and I used the number 4 flower on the flower selection of the cartridge. I placed my sheet in the Cricut machine and selected auto fill. This allowed my machine to cut 6 petals on one sheet of Reflective paper. I use 5 petals to create my flowers.

Step 2:

Begin by taking each petal and you will fold the petal in ½ in the center of the flower. You will do this two times to create a fold.

Step 3:

You will need to make four petals by folding in the above manner.

Next you will take each petal and, going in a circle, place each side by side, stapling or hot gluing the flower petals together.

Staple the two petals together in the center.

Staple the fourth petal to the previous three.

The fifth petal I like to manipulate and fold so that it goes on top of the entire flower. I like to add my TC Blingage to the centers of my flowers for additional dimension.

I also created the same flower with my new POSH glitter paper. Note: the glitter does not come off the sheet and works great in your die cut machines!!!!
