Hey CKers! Who’s excited Spring is finally here?!? I, like many of you, have caught the official spring cleaning bug and been on the go cleaning up and cleaning out.
And just guess what hits my mailbox with such perfect timing? CK’s newest special issue, Creative Spaces! Sweet. (Sorry, garage. You just got bumped off the list!)
I’m heading straight to my own creative space to audition a few of the awesome ideas I found in this issue. Like this one by Aly Dosdall. She not only used scrapbook paper to cover her magazine holders, she actually decoupaged 12×12 sheets of the same paper on her walls between two chair rails for a one-of-kind look. Fabulous!

And check out this fun piece by Nicole Harper. Instead of keeping your favorite inspiration pieces tucked away, showcase them on a magnetic inspiration board! Dressed up with a few scrapbook supplies it’s a valuable source of creative inspiration.

Check out these reader-submitted spaces and craft rooms to get even more ideas for your own creative space!
As you can see from these reader-submitted rooms and those in Creative Spaces, there are amazing ideas you can try for everything from how to lay out your space to creative storage to inspiring DIY décor. So take advantage of that spring cleaning impulse, check out the issue and spruce up your own creative space today! Tell us about your big plans by leaving a comment on this post for your chance to win a prize package of scrapbooking goodies!

spring cleaning? what’s that?
I totally am looking forward to my next Ikea trip so I can make use of some of the ideas I just saw
I have been wanting to do a little purging. I seem to have crafts I no longer enjoy taking up space. I just need to find the time and “guts” to purge them!
I’m working on creating a really nice framed display area to showcase my recent pages!
I’m working on a craft area for the kiddos within my scrap area… Hoping this will help me get more done!!
I’m really pushing my hubby to install built in shelves for all my scrap goodies!
I need to stop buying so many alphabets, i think!
Love the idea of creating a border with scrapbook paper! That is ingenious!
I have a room waiting for me to repurpose as my craft room-thanks for the great issue and great ideas that I will be sure to use!
I’ve always felt that some papers are just too pretty to cover up with pictures. I love Ally’s idea!
I am so excited to start re doing my room
With so many ideas. I was feeling a bit cluttered so my plan is to display my projects all around me!!
I always find new inspiration here. And now, that spring has come, I´m going to do a similar paper wallpaper boarder like Ally. Really looking forward to it.
I need to start from scratch and re-do everything! I am up to my ears in a mess and can use all these great ideas! Looks like a fab issue packed with great ideas!

love the idea of using your layuts as decoration.
This has come very timely for me. This week I started organizing my scrap room again. I am using my closet for storage of items I won’t be accessing frequently, yet know they are there. I am using my book case to store the items I want to be visable as reminders to use. I find I use my punches a lot, so they are going to be stored behind me under the counter for easy access. Thanks for sharing with us.
My scrap room looks like an explosion hit it! There are supplies and projects piled everywhere. It’s in serious need of organization. I have a week’s vacation coming in June and I think it’ll take all of it to whip that room into shape. But wow, will I be able to scrap once it’s done!
