Insider info #1: The layout on the cover was designed by Contributing Writer Deena Wuest. Don’t you just love the way she used rhinestones to create bubbles for our swimming girl?

Insider info #2: Because we first started brainstorming ideas for this issue in January, we turned up the heat in the conference room, wore summery shirts, and put umbrellas in our drinks. It definitely helped us get in the mood for summer!
Insider info #3: The layout on page 49 shows a few of the CK gals on a trip to Disneyland when they were in LA for CHA this past winter. A few of our ladies just left for the summer CHA in Chicago today, so stay tuned to see some fantastic new releases later this week!

My Happy Place by Joannie McBride, as seen in Scrapbooking Tips & Tricks: Summer Fun & Travel, page 49.

I love going to campmeeting in the summer in Missouri. Lots of great memories…
I just remember riding my bike around the neighborhood, playing at the pool and in the woods, with very little supervision and having no fear and not a care in the world. Sometimes I really miss that.
My favorite summer memory is the smell of Coppertone at the Texaco, NM swimming pool!
I have to say going to New York this summer…walking on the very ground my grandparents walked when they came to this
country was such a awesome feeling and such a somber feeling walking around
Ground zero. Two different places just miles
apart yet such very different emotions.
My favorite summer memory was going with my husband and son to Disney World during Star Wars Weekends. My son has always loved Star Wars and wants to be a Disney Imagineer. Now in college he’s finally out of school early enough to go during the Star Wars fun. It was a wonderful time for all of us!
