Paper Flower Technique from Discount Cardstock

Hello! My name is Jeanne Streiff and it’s great to be here!

As the Designer Team Coordinator for Discount Cardstock.com I get to work with a huge variety of papers. We have cardstock and a variety of other specialty papers to fill all your crafting needs.

My project today features a fun (and easy to make!) paper flower border created with a Sizzix Eclips (657150 Edges) and a selection of papers from Discount Cardstock.

I started with a Frosted Teal Prismatic 70# base. I then cut the border and extra flowers from White Prismatic 70# . I sponged all the flower edges with Wild Honey Ranger Distress Inks and then assembled my border.

I shaped the petals with my fingers for a more 3-D effect and then added buttons to the flower centers.

The picture was matted with Honey Hopsack Treasure 80# and White Prismatic 70#. The letters were cut from Honey Hopsack Treasure 80# using the Sizzix eclips (656161 Birthday & Beanpole). I added extra flowers as accents.

Can we still be in the drawing even if we don’t have Facebook? There are a lot of people who don’t have it.

  2. Holly H says:

Very feminine! I totally love it! Especially the flowers. One of things I love about scrapbooking is the fact that they bring so much joy into the lives of people as the memories are preserved and at the same time the person being remembered feels ecstatic! I am a seasoned scrapper and please check out my blogs and articles too! :)
