How has the October issue of Creating Keepsakes inspired you? Is it the happy candy-themed projects in our Eye Candy feature that have you craving some creation? Or maybe it’s the unexpected color scheme on the cover that has you excited to work on a new batch of Halloween layouts.
Okay, back to talking October. Besides the cover creating a buzz, our October issue has inspired so many of you to create impressive layouts. Including the fabulous pages below, which make up part of this month’s CK & Me blog series.
Piradee’s work inspired Linda Hoenstine to create this stunning design. We adore how she transformed Piradee’s colorful doughnut design into an elegant wedding page simply by changing the color scheme. Smashing work, Linda!
Take a look at how Kelly Ishmael went with the same look and feel but made the page her own by bringing in more color and modifying how the journaling strips were created. Great way to scraplift and make your own original, Kelly!
Of course, the inspiration didn’t stop at with our October issue. In fact, it didn’t stop with our issues at all. Our next CK & Me featured scrapbooker, Kathy Watson, actually pulled inspiration from the cover of our July/August issue, as well as the Creating Keepsakes Convention she attended this year, where she purchased several of the supplies to create this happy layout. Thanks for thinking beyond the magazine with your CK & Me idea, Kathy. We’re thrilled you had fun and were inspired at our events, and we hope to see you at another show soon!
Yes, whether you’re reading a copy of Creating Keepsakes or attending one of our events, there is always inspiration to be found. We hope you’ll submit one of your scraplifted designs for us to consider as a future CK & Me highlight. If we select your layout, you’ll be featured on our blog and receive a free special issue. If these treats sound good to you, simply submit your trick (scrapbook page) to firstname.lastname@example.org with “CK & Me” in your subject line. Please include the scrapbook page that inspired you (designer and page number), and the layout that page can be found in.
Until we meet again, CK & Me-ers, I hope you have a happy and safe October!
