Weekly Warm-up: Finding Inspiration on Pinterest

Hi Everyone, Piradee Talvanna here! Hope you guys had a wonderful weekend and that you’re ready for some Pinterest fun and a challenge.

Today we’re talking about inspirations and interpretations. Where else would you be able to find an endless source of inspiration except on Pinterest. Since discovering this website I’ve joined the thousands of addicted “pinners”, always stopping by when I need a dose of inspiration (and a laugh or two–it’s amazing what you can find there sometimes).

Also did you know that there’s a new challenge on Club CK called the Pinterest Challenge? You’ll have 4 non-scrapbooking related images to inspire your creativity and for this week challenge, I had the opportunity to select the images and also create some samples to share.

Here’s one of the layouts that I created using the gorgeous home decor image on the left.  I was inspired by the composition of the elements and the lovely fall colors and hence mirrored it as my layout design.

For my second layout, I was inspired instead by some of elements in the image such as the over sized letter, the piles of books, the yarn details on the vase and the bouquet of grass flowers; and incorporated those details into my layout as either part of my layout design (ie. the stacks of banners) or as embellishments (ie. over sized number, yarn details and the bouquet of flowers).
