Latest & Greatest: May/June 2012

As scrapbookers, we’re a lucky bunch. I can’t think of another industry that does as much to keep its hobbyists inspired. Scrapbooking companies continue to come out with new delights for us to enjoy, which makes writing Creating Keepsakes‘ “Latest & Greatest” column a true pleasure for me.

I know you and I share this love of new scrapbooking goodies, which makes writing these posts another highlight on my to-do list. We can ooohh and aaahh together as we check out the happy new scrapbook products hitting store shelves, including the following:

Country Picnic by Pebbles

With the weather warming up, a country picnic sounds like just the ticket. Wouldn’t this lovely line make a beautiful card for Mom this Mother’s Day? Or why not use it to scrapbook what it is you love about your mama (or any fabulous female in your life) using these oh-so-pretty papers and embellishments?

The Jewel Stack by Die Cuts With a View (DCWV)

If you subscribe to my motto that everything is better with a bit of bling, you’ll love this line. The paper comes pre-blinged, so you pages will shine in less time. And the happy spring pallet will have you ready to create pages about your recent Easter adventures, time outdoors with friends, and more!

Microbead Set by Martha Stewart Crafts (MSC)

While this may not be the latest MSC product to hit the stores, it’s definitely one of the greatest. Sprinkle these bitty beads on spots of glue for a quick and cool accent. Wouldn’t they look divine used as sprinkles on a birthday cake or to add a touch of shimmer to an ordinary letter sticker?

  1. Well, I know I’m way behind on this but I’m loving Thickers and similar types of alpha stickers. I had refused to try them because I bought a Cricut and convinced my husband I NEEDED it for cutting titles and knew I’d never hear the end of it if I was using stickers instead of my diecutting machine. I finally caved and I LOVE them. Sometimes its just so nice to not have to deal with a machine!
