An Insider’s Look: Mixed Media Scrapbooking

One of the joys of scrapbooking is combining various papers, embellishments, photos, and words in sometimes surprising ways to craft delightful works of art. By adding a little of this and a little more of that, we scrapbookers indulge in the kind of playful creation we enjoyed as children.

Mixed Media Scrapbooking, a new special issue from Creating Keepsakes magazine, encourages this spirit of childlike creative fun. Its 132 pages brim with useful how-tos and

A few of my favorite mediums are netting, tissue, wax, ink and paint. Many of my pages seem to end up with found items such as coins, small washers, and clothing or product tags. Something a little bit unexpected is always fun. I definately would love to peek at the ideas found in this magazine.

  2. Heidi says:

My fave medium has to be ink and paint. I’m very traditional in my scrapbooking, so I love the look of this issue and how it can spark my creativity. Thanks for the opportunity to win!

  6. Carmen says:

I haven’t done much beyond the cardstock, ink pads, markers, and a few embellishments. I would love to try fabric in my mixed-media.

I love to stamp and glitter. My one and only fabric page was a disaster!
