The paper crafting and scrapbooking industry is evolving and we want to continue to bring you everything you love about this hobby, so we’re reconfiguring the relationship between Paper Crafts and Creating Keepsakes. But change is rarely easy, and this one is no exception because it affects people who are not only co-workers but friends as well.
In order to form an authentic partnership and bring you the best project inspiration while still recognizing the unique differences between scrapbooking, card making and paper crafting, we’ve realigned our Paper Crafts and Creating Keepsakes editorial teams with a single editor in chief and managing editor for both titles. Moving forward, I will be taking on the dual editor in chief role, and Kerri Miller will be the managing editor for both titles. Each team will maintain a separate creative editor and art director, but there will be other editorial roles that will serve both magazines. Stay tuned for more detail on that.
With this change, two Creating Keepsakes editorial positions have been eliminated – editor in chief and managing editor. Saying goodbye to colleagues is not easy, and I’ll be back tomorrow with highlights and a tribute to Jennafer Martin and Lara Penrod, both of whom will be missed.

Sister publications: Creating Keepsakes and Paper Crafts
I think most of you already know that Paper Crafts and Creating Keepsakes are part of a much larger media family that includes sewing (Sew News, Sew It All, Creative Machine Embroidery), quilting (McCalls Quilting and Quick Quilts, Quiltmaker, Quilter’s Newsletter, Fons & Porter’s Love of Quilting), knitting (Love of Knitting), crocheting (Love of Crochet), woodworking (American Woodworker) and astronomy (Sky & Telescope) hobbies. As a group, we’re pretty proud to represent the most well-known brands in each of these categories, and you can find us not only in print but also on television, online video, public events, and even online stores.
Our company is led by an exceptional executive team that has decades of experience in the hobby and enthusiast media realm, and they’ve not only maintained our solid position in this challenging economy but grown it as well. And as the paper crafting and scrapbooking community evolves, so must the companies that serve you in an ever-changing marketplace– including ours. The team here at Paper Crafts and Creating Keepsakes is passionate about bringing you the inspiration to support you in these hobbies we all love, and we look forward to continuing to grow and meet your needs.

This makes me so sad!!! Best of luck to Jennafer and Lara in all your future endeavors!
Best wishes to those who are moving on and to the team that remains!

Thanks ,please send me a email or mail letter to tell me whats going on or whats going to happen.. Thanks sinserly you’re fan Connie Gutierrez:)
Best wishes to Jennafer and Lara. It is so difficult to deal with drastic changes and shuffles in companies but hopefully these talented ladies will find new and equally exciting places to continue on with their careers. And it will mean lots of new challenges for the team remaining to carry on with creating these great publications. Personally I enjoy both card making and scrapbooking as do a lot of other paper crafters I know so it makes sense to combine the two crafts.
Thank you to everyone for all the great work you do to bring us the inspiration and great ideas.

I do hope with the merging of editors, that CK still stays a scrapbooking only magazine. It is the only magazine I’ve ever subscribed to… and its because of the fact that its stayed solely focused on scrapbooking.
