Autumn, one of the most beautiful times of the year is here and to celebrate, I created some autumn –inspired scrapbook accents that can embellish your Fall, Halloween, and Thanksgiving layouts.

Tissue paper sunflower

Supplies: Patterned paper: October Afternoon; Adhesive: 3M; Others: Tissue paper, beads, thread.

Stack a few layers of yellow tissue paper.  Cut flower shape out of them.  Arrange layers unevenly to create a sunflower. Add a patterned paper circle to the center and stitch a few beads to add texture.

Fabric leaf border

Supplies: Fabric: Anna Griffin; Autumn Accents Bigz Die: Sizzix for Stampin’ Up!; Adhesive: 3M; Others: thread, sewing machine.

Diecut leaves and acorns from coordinating fabrics. Glue them to a 2” x12” strip of cream cardstock. When dry, stitch to create a leafy border.

Washi tape banner

Supplies: Washi tape: Anna Griffin; Teeny alpha stickers: Glitz Design; Twine: Canvas Corp; Stamper’s Big Brush Pen: Faber-Castell Design Memory Crafts.

Cut a 12” long piece from twine.  Color twine with brush pen. Cut small lengths (no bigger than 3 inches) of washi tapes. With twine in the middle, wrap tape around and press down on itself.  Shape banner with scissors. Attach mini alpha stickers to spell out any fall-themed word.

Punched Journaling Spot

Supplies: Cardstock: Anna Griffin; Patterned paper: October Afternoon; Punch: Martha Stewart Crafts (witch) & EK Success (corner rounder); Adhesive: 3M; Others: thread, sewing machine.

Punch a witch out of 3”x4” piece of cream cardstock. Round corners. Layer on top of 3¼” x 4¼” piece of patterned paper. Stitch to create journaling lines.

Paper-pieced Pumpkin

Supplies: Cardstock and patterned papers: Anna Griffin; Chalk ink: ColorBox; Adhesive: 3M.

Cut strips of patterned papers. Ink the sides of each strip. Attach strips to cardstock. Cut a pumpkin shape freehand. Ink the pumpkin.

Hope you liked these handmade accents and would create your own!

Thanks for the ideas! I especially like the washi banner and the punched journaling spot. (I have that tiny witch punch and it’s hard to find uses for it!)
