Little Emily by Laura Vegas, as seen in the Scrapbooking Babies & Toddlers special issue of Creating Keepsakes.

Supply Tip In addition to fun motifs that bring baby to mind, look for textured supplies that will help you recall the softness of baby’s clothes, toys, and skin. A flocked transparency, for example, creates a blanket-soft background, just right for displaying photos of sleeping (or giggling!) baby.

Blessing Dress by Autumn Baldwin, as seen in the Scrapbooking Babies & Toddlers special issue of Creating Keepsakes.

Handmade Inspiration Handmade or heirloom clothing can have special meaning and be great layout inspiration. Autumn Baldwin created a layout background using lace and flower embellishments inspired by her daughter’s handmade blessing dress.

Nursery Decor by Megan Hoeppner, as seen in the Scrapbooking Babies & Toddlers special issue of Creating Keepsakes.

Why not create quick handmade items for the new mom she’ll not only treasure, but that she can use to beautify the baby’s room.

Coordinating paper kits are a great time-saving solution, and are perfect for adorning items like photo frames, which would make a lovely addition to the nursery. Products like colorful yarn and string will add fun textures to cardboard or wooden letters displayed on a shelf or a dresser. Use the ideas here to help you make adorable handcrafted nursery décor.

These are just a few of the inspiring projects and tips you’ll find inside this fabulous issue. Want to see more? Take a peek inside or grab your own copy of Scrapbooking Babies & Toddlers, on sale now!
