Do You Swap?

Do you swap?

When I first started scrapbooking I joined a swap group that met monthly to swap layouts. The group had a set number that could participate and a theme was designated for each month to help direct what we created. I loved it! I met new scrapping buddies, stretched myself creatively, and had a ready-made reason to scrapbook.

Over the years I participated in a variety of swaps from fiber swaps to card swaps to paper-pieced embellishments. Some swaps we met and exchanged items over lunch or snacks. Other groups swapped through mail with one person being the point person to gather and resend everything out. Each had things I really enjoyed about them and my stash of supplies certainly grew.

This time of year is perfect for joining a swap – life has slowed down after the holidays and there isn’t much to do when it is cold and wet. Not sure where to go to find swaps to join? Here’s a list of a few online swap locations:

Two Peas in a Bucket Swap Forum

Splitcoast Stampers Swap Forum

If you haven’t swapped before I challenge you to give it a try. If you’re a swap addict, keep up the good work! And no matter what, have fun creating!
