Stamp Technique: How To Create a Stamp Kissing Background

Joannie McBride, online editor

Give new definition to your stamped images using stamp kissing, a fun technique in which you stamp one stamp onto another. You can use this technique to create dual-color stamped images, or you can use it to give solid stamps a pattern or texture.

Check out this fun “stamp kissing” technique on Kim Watson’s layout, featured in the Jan/Feb 2013 issue of Creating Keepsakes.

Here’s How to Create this Technique:

Step 1

Ink textured stamp.

Step 2

Press textured stamp onto un-inked solid stamp. Note: Avoid sliding stamps to prevent smudging.

Step 3

Stamp solid stamp onto paper.

Step 4

Use different textured stamps on same solid stamp for varied background.

Try this cool stamping technique on your scrapbook layout.

Have a great weekend!
