    This year the first sign of spring will be seeing the grass! Here in New England we have had too much snow (and generally, I like the snow – but this year is crazy!).

    My favorite first signs of spring are the Easter displays in department stores. I know it isn’t outside, but something about the pastel colors and party dresses really starts my anticipation for springtime.

    We have a deciduous tree in the front garden of our house and the first signs of the approaching spring for us is the sprouting of tiny green leaf buds on its bare winter limbs.

    This winter has been a cold & snowy one and I can’t wait for Spring! My favorite “first thing” is seeing the Robins return! They’re smart birds and know it NEEDS to warm up some yet!!
