Good morning! We are excited to share some fun kits with you from our friends at SEI. Before we give you all the 411 on their beautiful paper crafting kits, we’ve asked Mandi to share a little about herself (and SEI) with all of you.
How did you start your company?
SEI started back in 1979 as a sewing company! We sold patterns and lace and other wonderful things like that. We’ve always been crafters at heart! Since then we’ve become a scrapbooking and craft company and we love every minute.
Where do you find your inspiration?
We’re all avid travelers (our art director is from Sweden!) and we all love finding details and color combinations in every corner of the world.
What is your favorite tool to use?
Don’t know what we would do without our adhesive rollers!
What product do you almost always include in what you create?
We love specialty paper-the more texture the better!
If you could only use five products on a project, what would they be?
Washi tape (we’re obsessed!), specialty paper, dimensional adhesive (gives you drama without big cost!), die-cut accents (they’re great for well designed quotes and pre-cut shapes) and probably some pearls. They’re timeless.
What is your favorite color combination and why?
Oh yikes! How do you even pick that?? Right now we’re head over heels for anything with kraft-especially foils and black!
Besides your company’s product, what other product do you love to use?
We use our score pal ALL the time! And our Silhouette is so vital!
Do you prefer to create by yourself, in a small group, or at a large gathering? Why?
we love creating in small groups-it brings out our best work and gives us friends to bounce ideas off of.
What snacks/drinks must you have to create successfully?
We love parties-we’ll celebrate just about anything. So we love party foods-cupcakes, tarts, delicious teas-anything that is bite size we’re fans of.
What kind of camera do you use?
Our photographer is using a Nikon D5100 and she is amazing!

I got SEI’s papercrafting kit that had the butterfly mobile- it’s gorgeous! I’d love to add this floral wreath to our home- it looks just as amazing!
I was introduced to SEI kits this past weekend in Hampton VA. I have to say I was quite impressed and almost signed up for the CLUB then, but spent so much money shopping that I decided to wait. Now, if I win this fantastic prize, I might have to reconsider and join!

Every summer my friends host “The Hoot”, a camp at their home on the river/bring your musical instruments & spend the weekend creating music, playing games & enjoying food & summer drinks. The projects in this kit are PERFECT for this event, drink names cards, wreath, photo book to commemorate the event – everything would make our decorations so fun!
Everything goes together so nice. All the ideas coming to mind for pages makes me want to scrap!!

Why would I love this kit? Because the best creative time is when you get a fresh package of coordinating stuff – the pages come together so easily. And since right now I can only work during nap time, I’d love to have them come together easily!!
