Spring is always special because it’s a chance to spend time with the whole family. All the nieces and nephews come over for the Easter egg hunt on Easter Sunday. It’s nice to just sit back and watch the kids have fun.

My favorite spring memory is having my son’s portrait taken with live rabbits. He wanted to hold them & they wanted to hop away. It was so funny!

My favorite spring memory doesn’t happen to be the best memory but for some reason it has been embedded in my mind after all these years (let’s just say 40 “ish” years or so, lol) I grew up in northern Wisconsin and even though the whole world thinks we have snow 10 months out of the year, I can attest to some of the most beautiful seasons and the changing of seasons is what has kept me in Wisconsin all these years. I remember when I was 10 years old, we grew up out in the country and lived on 40 acres of land. Our house was set back from the road and we had the never ending front yard (at least that’s how I remember it since I was the one who mowed it) and our grandparents were up for a visit. I was woke up on a Sat morning by a bunch of people yelling “come see, you won’t believe this”. I jump out of bed and run to the window to see snow on the ground, and not just a dusting, inches and inches of the wet stuff. Everyone was running from window to window and was talking and shrieking about the snow killing the flowers and all the while everyone was missing the family of 5 deer in our front yard. They looked up from their grazing and looked toward the house probably wondering what was wrong with all those crazy people yelling about the snow, lol. The reason everyone was so excited and we couldn’t believe our eye’s was that it was MAY 10TH. Yes, I said that right, MAY 10TH. I’ve remembered that day for the past 40 years and it will stay with me always. What was suppose to be a beautiful spring day turned out to be a day of snow on the flowers and a snowball fight in the front yard. Who knew! Thanks for the opportunity and for the walk down memory lane!

My favorite spring memory is celebrating Easter and birthdays since mine & my hubby’s birthdays are just 2 weeks apart – also now that 2 of my kids are in college I love spring because they both come home in May for their break!
