Good morning!
I’m a list maker, mostly because if it isn’t written down it doesn’t happen. But I also like lists as idea generators. For scrapbooking, capturing photos in the moment is key to recording memories and so I set out to find photo lists that would get me started down the right path, so let me share a few of my favorites.
Photos Each Month
This first list is a simple list, but it is divided by month and focuses on the key activities. So many of these are things I do but often get caught up in the moment and forget to photograph. This image shows a few of the months included so make sure to grab the PDF download for the full list.
Baby Love
There’s nothing cuter than a baby (unless it’s a puppy, which is technically a baby) and capturing all those grins, yawns, and firsts are a must. This list identifies the must-have photos of the new baby in your life, whether you’re a mom, grandparent, aunt, or neighbor, you’ll love this list as much as me, I’m sure.
This list comes from Becky Higgins’ web site and includes lists for the home, places, people, things, and seasons. She has a second list with ideas for teens and young adults. Her picture lists are things I wouldn’t normally thing of recording, but definitely give a snapshot of my daily life.
I hope these lists give you great ideas for photos to take this week and over the coming months. Go grab a notebook and pen and start compiling your photo list so you can check them off and feel good about what you’ve accomplished, as well as know that you are documenting the important things in your life through your scrapbooks.
Have fun creating!

What a great tool! Thanks so much!
A popup ad kept popping up when I tried to download the PDF file. When I clicked it shut, the PDF link disappeared.
great lists…had to share with my SMASH group!
Jackie, which PDF were you trying to download when this happened and I’ll see if I can post a different link.
