Spring Inspiration for Scrapbooking

Stacy Croninger - Digital Managing Editor

Hi friends,

In Utah, spring is a funny thing. One day it is lovely and blooming, the next it is snowing, and then we’re back to blooms. Sunday was a gorgeous day and the blooms were so inspiring. I have a few photos I’d like to share and the inspiration they provided me.

Tree Blossoms

We have several trees in bloom. I love the delicate, white blossoms and their clusters spread across the branches. Most days, the bees flit from spot to spot – I love listening to them buzz, as long as they stay in the tree.

The inspiration from these blossoms runs two-fold: lots of dainty flowers and clusters of accents. I did a quick Pinterest search and found this layout that includes a flower cluster that I love, plus the lace is stunning!

I LOVE tulips! Whether they are a single color or multi-color with smooth petals or slightly ruffled. They are delicate creations, which is why I feel bad when they bloom and then it snows within days. But as delicate a flower as they are, these beautiful blooms are resilient and raise their buds proudly to the sun. These are some of my favorite in our yard.

The inspiration from this photo are the colors – pink, green, and white. Something along these lines is what I have in mind.

The difference between weather in UT and WY is pretty evident when I look at the photos here! We are months behind and won’t see blossoms for a long while. We’ve been “snowed” in for the past week. Fortunately, a few birds are showing up. Yesterday I saw a flock of red winged blackbirds that were just passing through. A few days before that there were pelicans, which is always a good indication that spring is on its way. I’ve also been watching a few house finches that are building a nest in one of our birdhouses. BRING ON SPRING!

Spring always inspires me to not only go outside and enjoy my backyard but to create springtime crafts! I love your layouts and color choices, I think my next springtime craft needs to be a keepsake book to house all my Easter photos! Thank you!
