In Utah, spring is a funny thing. One day it is lovely and blooming, the next it is snowing, and then we’re back to blooms. Sunday was a gorgeous day and the blooms were so inspiring. I have a few photos I’d like to share and the inspiration they provided me.
We have several trees in bloom. I love the delicate, white blossoms and their clusters spread across the branches. Most days, the bees flit from spot to spot – I love listening to them buzz, as long as they stay in the tree.
The inspiration from these blossoms runs two-fold: lots of dainty flowers and clusters of accents. I did a quick Pinterest search and found this layout that includes a flower cluster that I love, plus the lace is stunning!
I LOVE tulips! Whether they are a single color or multi-color with smooth petals or slightly ruffled. They are delicate creations, which is why I feel bad when they bloom and then it snows within days. But as delicate a flower as they are, these beautiful blooms are resilient and raise their buds proudly to the sun. These are some of my favorite in our yard.
The inspiration from this photo are the colors – pink, green, and white. Something along these lines is what I have in mind.
What is inspiring you in your neck of the woods? Do you have flowers and trees in bloom? Maybe birds flutter by your window? Share what is catching your eye right now.
Have fun creating!
