I hope you had a great weekend celebrating National Scrapbooking Day and completed a lot of layouts. Did you get together with friends to scrapbook? Or maybe you participated in online challenges? No matter how you celebrated the day I’m sure you found a way to connect with others that love scrapbooking as much as you do. That’s one of the great things about this hobby – sharing what you love.
Today I’m going to show you how you can share your Creating Keepsakes issue and/or favorite projects from the digital issue with your friends and family.
Access and Login
The first thing you need to do is access the digital issue. You can do that through our free iOS app on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod. You can also access it online here: May/June 2013 issue or by going to www.creatingkeepsakes.com and clicking on Magazine and then on Access Current Digital Issue as seen in this image.
So that you don’t have to type this information each time, make sure you select the check box for Remember my Address and Password. Then click on Log In.
Let the Sharing Begin!
Now the real fun begins – reading and sharing. One thing to remember, you can share an issue 10 times – whether you share the entire issue or a page at a time. Once you’ve shared it 10 times you’ll receive a message stating that you can’t use the Share function. But until that time, let’s look at the many options you have for sharing.
First, click on the More Options icon in the upper right corner.
Then click Share in the menu.
When using email to share, you can include a link to the entire issue or to a specific page. The page it will send is the one you were viewing when you selected the option to share. You’ll need to include your email address and then the email address for the person you’re sharing the issue with. You don’t have to include anything in the comments section, but it’s a great place to tell your friend about what you are sharing. When you’re finished, click on Send. Don’t click Close unless you’ve changed your mind about sharing through email.
Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest
As you can see, there are multiple ways to share your Creating Keepsakes digital issue, but I want to focus on the most popular – Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest. Keep in mind, you need an account with any of the applications/programs you choose to share with.
With Twitter, it is a similar process in that selecting this option takes you to Twitter. The difference is that the text for the tweet is filled in for you, which includes a shortened link to the page you were viewing.
Sharing with Pinterest takes you to the Create a Pin window, that launches when you choose to Pin something on the internet. Make sure you select the Board you want to pin to before selecting PinIt.
There you have it – a variety of ways to share your Creating Keepsakes digital issue with friends and family. Remember, you have 10 times to share EACH digital issue, so share away your May/June issue and then get ready to share you July/August issue.
And don’t forget to leave time for scrapbooking in between reading and sharing your Creating Keepsakes issue. Have fun creating!
