Making the Most of Your Scrapbook Products: Craft Room to Kitchen

Ever wanted to incorporate your passion for scrapbooking with your love for making delicious cupcakes and other baked goods? This week I thought I’d show you a few ways to take some of those scrapbooking supplies of out the craft room and into the kitchen.

#1: Toppers, Toppers, and More Toppers

All you need is a toothpick, some glue, and a little creativity to create one-of-a-kind toppers for your desserts. With die cuts, washi tape, crepe paper, and everything in between, the possibilities are truly endless.

#2: Lovely Liners

Why not make your cupcakes match the rest of your party decor with handmade liners? By cutting the bottom out of a standard cupcake liner and tracing out the side onto some patterned paper (this will create an arc-shaped template on your paper), you can create fancy liners for any occasion. Simply cut them from the template you just made and wrap them around finished cupcakes. (And be sure to use special craft scissors when cutting to give those liners a decorative edge!)

#3: A Delightful Dessert Stand

Did you know that you can purchase simple cardboard dessert stands and decorate them to your heart’s content? I found the Dr. Seuss-themed stand below to be particularly inspiring.

Have at it, folks! I’d love to hear about all of the creative dessert decor ideas you come up with.
