Hi my friends!
Do you feel like September was a blur? Did the month just march right past you and you’re not really sure what happened? I can’t help you with what happened in your personal life, but I can show you some of the things that happened on the Creating Keepsakes web site and blog.
Mixed Media Volume 2
This latest special issue, Mixed Media Vol. 2, includes ideas for combining two or more mediums, such as paint, modeling paste, fabric, and ink, to create amazing scrapbook pages. You’ll find layouts for those getting started with mixing mediums to ideas for taking your mixed media skills to the next level. Plus each project includes steps or equations to help you duplicate the technique.
Here’s one layout showing spray inks combined with a mask to create a very cool background. Click the image to see the steps to recreate this look.
Back to School
If you have children and they didn’t start school in August then they certainly did in September. Such an exciting and sometimes scary time, as kids meet new teachers, start their new daily routines, and endure mom’s photo shoot as they get on the bus, wear their backpack, carry their lunch, and whatever else she can think of to photograph. And while these downloads were shared in August, they most certainly should be used in September.
These interview cards are perfect for capturing your child’s favorites. Use them now when he/she starts school and at the end of the year to see how things change over the months. Click the image to go to the page where you select the color cards to download.
For pages full of photos from your ordinary, or not so ordinary days, use this cut file to create titles and accents for your everyday life pages. Click the image and you’ll be taken to the download page.
How To Blog Posts
If the kids have to start learning new things shouldn’t we? In September we posted a variety of How To blog posts. Here are links to few:
There you have it – September in a snapshot. What were the highlights for you in September? Here’s hoping October brings you plenty of time to scrapbook and lots of memories to highlight in those pages.
