Looking for a new way to add sparkle and dimension to your layout? Create a glittered accent using a template, heavy gel medium, and glitter. Try this technique with a variety of different template designs and paint colors to create unique glittered accents for your layouts. Cindy Tobey combined a sunny template, paint, gel medium, and yellow glitter to create a sparkly design for her Mackinac Bicycles layout.

Create the look:

Step 1: Lightly pounce paint over template onto paper. Let dry. Clean template.

Step 2: Reposition template over painted design. Apply gel medium over template using palette knife.

Step 3: Immediately and carefully remove template. Sprinkle glitter over. Let dry.

    Could have saved a step and mixed the paint with the gel medium first, then pounced through the stencil. Easy!
