Well, it’s been one awesome week on the blog! I hope you got a chance to hop around some blogs from Jennifer’s blog hop post on Tuesday. There’s tons of cool information out there about this issue!

Today, let’s talk storage and decor.

With the wide array of tools, paper, ink, markers, ribbon, buttons, (and, well, who could even name all the different crafting items you may have?) you need a place to effectively store them in your craft space.

And when I say effective, I mean we’re looking for ideas that are functional, aesthetically pleasing, and spatially economical (and preferably, low budget).

There are lots of ideas that fit that criteria in our DIY Storage section, starting on p. 107.

See, for instance, this tool caddy on p. 108!

tool-caddy-closedYou can find this item at OR, if you’re handy with a saw and drill, you could make your own version. Super handy for some on-the-go crafting.

Oh, but wait, there’s more!

tool-caddy-openBam! It opens, making it perfect for setting out on a craft surface so that everything is visible and within reach.

This next item is pretty cool too. Kerri upcrafted an old frame using chalkboard, whiteboard, and cork paper from DCWV. It’s the perfect addition to a craft space so you can write reminders and notes and pin up inspiration. CREATIVE-SPACES3-D12

As for decor, check out this pretty piece, made by Amanda Coleman.

mirror Don’t be afraid to spice up your craft space with a taste of your own style. This piece is surprisingly easy and inexpensive. Amanda made it with a small circular mirror and some decorative paper straws. (These have a birch tree pattern.)

And believe me, there are so many more beautiful pieces and clever ideas you can incorporate into your space within the pages of this issue! You can buy a copy from our online store that will be delivered to your door or purchase a digital version and read it immediately.

If you’d like to win a copy of Creative Spaces, Vol. 3, head over to the Paper Crafts & Scrapbooking blog and let us know what decor piece would you like to make for your home or craft space? Might it involve string art, straws, or Mod Podge?

Thanks for checking in!
