Giveaways

We love giving away prizes on our blog! Knowing these prizes will have a new home is almost as fun as getting to know you better in the process. We’ll always tell you within a blog post when new winners are listed, but feel free to check here at any time for a list of current winners. The winning names will stay on this page for two weeks from the date they were announced, at which time any unclaimed prizes will be put back in our prize vault to be used at another time. All non-Creating-Keepsakes prizes were donated by manufacturers, and we appreciate their generosity.

If your name is chosen, please e-mail us at ckblog@creatingkeepsakes.com with “Blog Winner” in the subject line. The message should include your full name and mailing address, as well as the title and date of the winning blog post. Thanks!

Note: Unless otherwise indicated, our winners are always selected at random. Also, we apologize that we are no longer able to ship prizes outside of the U.S. If you are an international commenter, instead of winning the prize that’s being offered, you’ll receive a one-year subscription to Creating Keepsakes magazine. Guest blog prizes will be sent directly from the guest blogger’s company, and they may use their own discretion in regards to international prize fulfillment.

Latest & Greatest: November/December 2011 CK

Nita: Seems to be very popular, but I, too, am really looking forward to my December Daily. So many things have happened recently that have been negative, so I am ready to settle in to the holidays and focus on the beauty of the season.

Beatrice Lawson: My mother recently fell in love with scrapbooking while watching me work on my projects. I am making her a calendar and two mini albums with her grandchildren – my son and my brand new baby niece. I know she will treasure and display them!

Amanda Wolf: It is so simple, but I love the paper snow flakes we have made for our tree. I want to make more ornaments this year, in addition to our Christmas cards.

Melinda Wilson: Several years ago I completed a large chipboard tag book (tags were at least 5 x 7) with the 30 days of December. My friend Kay and I worked up the same book with the same papers at a crop. We used a chain to keep it together and hung it on a large ornament holder.

Use Prompts to Jump-Start Your Journaling

Latest & Greatest: October 2011

Alyssa: Using sketches is the best thing I ever did for my scrapbooking. They made my pages look so much better!

Leslie Kiley: Trick or Treat! My favorite trick is to take the supplies I have on hand and make page kits out of them ahead of time. Get a jumbo baggie and add cardstock and a couple of coordinating patterned papers, some trim , embellishments, brads and buttons and then when you have time to create you are ready to go!

Keesha Cooper: My tip is to focus on the memory you are trying to capture and build your layout around that memory. You can focus on sounds, smells or the picture itself.

Pam K: I use my handwriting in my scrapbooks a lot since I loved looking through my great grandmothers pics and reading the writing she wrote on the back of them. But I usually write it in pencil and let it sit for a day to make sure it’s what I want to say and then I write over it with ink.

Zoey: I really want to have a child. Time is running out and nothing seems to be working so I really relate to the first layout where I feel like I’m standing looking out over a horizon wondering it if will ever happen or if this is all there is.
